The Wacky Deli Meatloaf

The live action meatloaf scene in"Wacky Delly" ( one of my favorite episodes) was filmed by Richard Leroy and myself with on old wind up camera meant to capture the color of early 60's films. I actually cooked the meatloaf myself, and the hands in the scene were courtesy of Rocko color supervisor Carol Wyatt, complete with Lee Press On Nails.

We filmed it on my patio with rapidly diminishing light and a non-cooperative camera. Just when we were ready to admit defeat at getting the shot, the camera started working, and two flies came over to land on the meatloaf. Richard thought the flies had ruined the shot, but I thought it was perfect. I still used the plates the scenes were filmed on for a time, until they were accidentally broken. Alas, some rocko history went into the garbage.

And yes, that is my voice doing Ralph Bighead. Wacky Deli Meatloaf

The texture is Spongy, yet firm.
